Welcome to Wolves Lacrosse. There are many things we will talk about today. Here are some of the topics to be discussed.
History:
We have been established for four years now. I have been the head coach for all four years. In all four years my goal is to make the championship game. We have achieved the goal all four years and this year we are going to take it all again! Each year this club grows and we continue to teach and explain the rules and game. There is so much to teach and show and every year we improve.
I have coached the elite team for the past four years and have helped with the junior league and the girl’s league. I also coached during the indoor league and also do one on one lessons with those who wanted to.
I played Lacrosse for Western Illinois University for four years and have been involved with many different men’s leagues of the area. I have played in the fan cup in New York with the Clovers. We have WIU vs NIU alumni games that take place almost every month.
Games:
We will have games in Crystal Lake and a few road games tbd. The schedule will be determined once all teams have committed. We are looking at 13 games and then the playoffs as well. I will try to play every player in every game. Players have to be at practice, and work on their own to improve. We will have set days for practice and that time is time for me to work with the team as a whole. Tentative schedule for practice is TUES. WED. THURS5pm -7pm. I have contacted a few locations for practice so we will have some options. I will keep you posted.
Cost:
We are going to need $350 per player for the varsity season. I estimated about 20 players on the team. If we get a good group of players we can look into maybe doing a J.V. team as well. All new players will need to order jerseys and we will do this as a group. We will have a few more opportunities to play out side the league and we have been invited to some tournaments that we will have to pay for out side of league fees. If we don’t make the numbers to have a J.V. we can contact schools to set up our own games with them as a small cost. We can discuss as we get into the season.
Communication:
It is very important that you check your e-mail every day. If we have to cancel a practice due to rain or some thing comes up that I need to tell the team and e-mail is the best way. The best way to reach me would be by e-mail as well. The web is a nice tool and can be used for all types of activities.
